Title

Notes on Art

Subject

A personal note from LeRoy Neiman on the 1960s and 70s.

Description

This note from LeRoy Neiman provides a selection of critical events and persons from the mid-1960s through early 1970s. In addition to this list, the artist has provided a personal commentary, communicating his distance to these very topics. Neiman traveled often for his Playboy column, “Man at His Leisure” (MAHL), through this period. The column, starting in 1958, ran 15 years. The note was most likely made in preparation for the artist's memoir, All Told.
