Title
Note on Art
Subject
A note from LeRoy Neiman on the 1960s and 70s.
Description
This note from LeRoy Neiman builds on the artist’s discussion of the 1960s and 70s. The document’s references include an article from journalist Alamena Lomax, “In the Far Away Country of Montgomery, Alabama,” which appeared in a 1968 issue of Harper’s Bazar, a lecture Neiman gave at the boarding school Choate Rosemary Hall in 1970, and Robert Shaw conducting the Atlanta Symphony in 1969. The note was most likely made in preparation for the artist’s memoir, All Told.
