Waitress in coffee shop at Mirage in Vegas all excited because last time I was there I gave her a POSTCARD of “The Giraff Fantasy” She says she had it framed (elaborately described the frame; mat, and frame shop) It hangs in their bedroom where they view it first thing every morning when they wake up – she says they make new [?] – covers every time they look at it (imagine a post card!)
Madison Ave and 60th walking back from lunch at the friars at battered, old Junk Truck passed by with three black guys in the cab of the truck – they all waved and hollered LeRoy – Hey Man – We love you – We love your work.
The ultimate compliment
