Dearest LeRoy! – Hello on this great Birthday, I wish you every(thing) good and nice as you deserve, sure seems a long time ago on a cooking hot day, God brought you to me, and ever sense I been the proudest mother on this ear. So God bless you. and keep on his guiding way for you, for many more years to come.
the weather sure is different to-day, its kind of cool and cloudy. I keep on thinking of you all the time, of course I do everyday, but somehow its different to-day.
I just got out of my food soak, I have a sore between my toes that’s been giving me some trouble, so I have to give it foot soak every day and put on some [salve], to me it’s nothing but the nurses here seem to make a big fuss over it. So I go along so far. anyway I didn’t want to write about sore toes, its a great day I have you which I /
thank God every day for. only trouble is I can’t see you very often, but I understand everything so things are O.K.
as I sit here writing, the desk is right in front of a big window looking out to the high way, and as you know how cars travel, and going someplace. so very body don’t sit around all day, but my days are over with just so I can stay well and take care of myself is all I ask. but to-day I have many memories and thank God for the good and great son he brought me. all I do is say Happy Birthday and keep the good works going, may prays are always with you.
all my love,
Mother
