A note from LeRoy Neiman on artistic reference and social geography.

This note from LeRoy Neiman looks at a range of peripheral spaces in which the artist look interest. The list covers everything from parts of Harlem, Chicago Alley, to the St. Paul Coliseum, and the French Quarter. Although the register should no longer total, it proves demonstrative of the artist’s interest in not just leisure and travel but a range of spaces, communities, and lifestyles. The document was most likely made in preparation for the artist’s memoir, All Told.
