Note on Art
Subject
A note from LeRoy Neiman on his printmaking career.
Description
This note from LeRoy Neiman features an abstract CV, listing a selection of the artist's professional partnerships in printmaking. Included are the Tamarind Institute, where Neiman worked with then Master Printer Bill Lagatutta to make Loblo Layup (2008), Universal Limited Arts Edition (ULAE), invited by founder Talyana Grossman, Pratt Institute’s Graphic Center, Gemini Graphic Editions Limited (GEL), and Tyler Graphics. The second part of the note constitutes a brief assessment of printmaking itself, looking at the medium in relationship to the subjects of workshops and craft.
