[FILE #32: FILM / 1. MOVIES & DIRECTORS / Rocky IV: The Russian fighter spread out: at the bottom of the painting he is sprawled like a Gericauld figure in "The Rapt of Medusa". Right fighters = two white guys. The fight was so convincing I picked up the morning VanCouver Sun expecting to read about it. Then after the brawl, I went to Sly's dressing room to visit and his make-up was removed. I was shocked: he had cleaned off his make-up and was unmarked. Rocky has taken so many punches he should be punch drink now. VanCouver -- Russian scenes. Hollywood requires a certain percentage of blacks in extra audience. In Moscow there are no blacks, so it was shot in VanCouver. / Like Dempsey - Firpo, painting Bellows. / Stallone wrote, starred and directed: a workhouse; a visual man. Neiman appeared in Rocky II, III, IV, V. / Glen Larson - Neiman played a part in T.V. film for him. / Film bits by Knoedler. / 2.
