(1) Wheaties were introduced (in Mpls) in 1923 and have been known to me my entire life so when General Mills called in 1994 that they wanted to use my art me are on Wheaties responded positively.
The concept was to do 6 superstar football players one on each package with a print to go (of all) with (of all the image offered by a coupon on the back of) each sale (BOX) purchased. /

(4) Kurt Vonnegut in 1973 wrote (a novel) called Breakfast of Champions (1) There were touchstones galore. (2) Jack Armstrong the all American boy on radio in the 20s (I fondly remember) (5) The orange box is still the same color today (3) Not to mention the hundreds of breakfasts oat mother’s kitchen table before school
(6) all my images were done on that same orange field
