[PAINTING / View from] MY LOOKOUT ON [the stairs to the north across from the Plaza fountain and the lake scattered with row boats onto the wooded ramble to the green stripped awning of the Boathouse Cafe. / PAINTING / The view from the lake south across the terrace up the stairs with the niches in the arcade entrances to the underpass beneath 72nd Street with steps leading up again to the Mall. Not seen continuing South the Mall is 1/4 mile long as a cathedral of trees lead to the Shakespeare sculpture. / Shakespeare stands on an engaged leg, with the other slightly bent giving the figure a graceful [contrapposto] derived from classical sculpture. / Drawing / Grand Army Plaza..
