Text

Sunday, noon.
Dearest LeRoy + Janet; -- Thanks for the phone call this morning, sure was nice to hear your voice, sure feel bad I can’t make it to N.Y. now, hope I can some day, I miss you very much, just sending a clipping out of the paper about your old pal, thought you would like to see it, the old boy is doing pretty good and even looks good.
It’s really chilly outside to-day it makes the house so damp I think I’ll turn the heat up to dry it out my old arthritis will feel better [too].
sure wish I would be going to N.Y. to-morrow as planned, but hope the good Lord will show me a way soon, I really want to see you so bad it hurts, and see your work. etc, I love the old studio.
I am going into tears here right now so I’ll cut it short just wanted to send the clipping.
Take care of yourself, hope I can see those tickets before to [too] long.
God bless and guide you well
all my love to you both.
Mother
