Note on Art
A note from LeRoy Neiman on iconography.
This note from LeRoy Neiman looks at religious iconography (i.e. mother and child) and the notion of mass production, or reproduction. The writing then playfully merges a discussion of Christian religious institution with both his interest in printmaking as well as commercialization. Neiman nips this consideration short with an aphorism from A.J. Liebling. The nature of the document proves unclear.
